Role Overview:
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring data reliability, accessibility, and performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
Develop and optimize data architectures, databases, and data warehouses
Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across systems
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to support data needs
Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability
Automate data workflows and improve system efficiency
Document data processes, systems, and workflows
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes
Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases
Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)
Experience with real-time data streaming and processing
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Understanding of data security and compliance standards
Experience supporting machine learning pipelines
